The City provides a dumpster located at 250 State Avenue North for grass, leaves and soft garden waste will be accepted in the dumpster. This dumpster IS NOT FOR BRUSH, for New Germany residents only, the brush goes to the Mayer site listed below.
The city does contract with the City of Mayer for the use of the Carver County Environmental site located on County Road 30 east of the Mayer Wastewater Facility. The site is open on Saturdays 8 AM – 12 PM (year-round) and Wednesdays from 5 PM – 7 PM (spring through fall). Recycling items that are included at this site: brush, automotive batteries, clothing, plastic bags, shrink wrap & paper (junk mail, phone books, office paper, magazines, newspaper, corrugated cardboard, boxboard) food and beverage containers (steel & aluminum cans, foils & trays, glass bottles & jars, food & beverage plastics #1-7), scrap metal, used motor oil, oil filters, & antifreeze.
