WELCOME TO NEW GERMANY
New Germany is a rural town with a rich history of civic pride and community connection. We are excited you’ve chosen New Germany, and we hope this letter finds you mutually excited about your new home in New Germany.
The city of New Germany cherishes its past, but we’re really keeping our focus on the future. Our infrastructure overhaul and soon-to-be-completed water treatment facility will have the city properly positioned to support commercial and residential growth for years to come.
New Germany offers several community parks, with such amenities as ball fields, concession stands, playground equipment, and horseshoe pits. Also, the city is a trailhead destination for Carver County Parks Dakota Rail Regional Trail, a 44–mile railroad corridor running through Hennepin, Carver, and McLeod counties.
There are numerous opportunities to become involved in community service, through the planning commission, volunteer fire department, parks, or commercial club. There are also plenty of opportunities to engage and interact with your neighbors, through athletic leagues and city events. We encourage you to participate. Contact the New Germany city offices for specific information.
Please, take a few minutes to read through the information in this community guidebook and get to know a little more about your community.
Again, welcome to New Germany.
